Prof. Sharmin Abbasi, FCPS, MCPS, FACS, FMAS, FART, MSc, is a renowned Fertility Specialist and Associate Professor at UMCH, with extensive expertise in endometriosis, adenomyosis, and reproductive medicine. She serves as Ambassador for both the Asian Society of Endometriosis & Adenomyosis and the World Endometriosis Society, and holds key roles in several professional organizations, including Scientific Secretary of the Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Society of Bangladesh and the Fertility Preservation Society of Bangladesh. Dr. Abbasi has authored numerous scientific papers and a book chapter in Demystifying Endometriosis, and has presented widely at international conferences. A recipient of multiple awards including the Shan S. Ratnam Young Gynecologist Award (AOFOG), she continues to contribute to women’s health through clinical excellence, research, education, and leadership in reproductive health initiatives.
