Prof. Yarmolinskaya’s scientific interests include contraception, menopausal hormone therapy, osteoporosis, uterine myoma, vaginal microbiota and different types of diabetes mellitus. Her research efforts are focused on the study of genetic, endocrinological, and immunological aspects of the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
Prof. Yarmolinskaya presently holds several academic positions, including Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences, the Head of the Department of Gynecology and Endocrinology at D. O. Ott Research Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductology, Professor at I. I. Mechnikov Saint Petersburg State Medical University, and the President of the Obstetrician-Gynecologist Society of Saint-Petersburg, Russia. She holds 32 patents for her inventions and has published more than 520 articles.
