Prof. Hugh S. Taylor

Hugh S. Taylor, M.D., is the Anita O’Keefe Young Professor of Women’s Health and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is also Professor of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University. He is a Board-Certified Specialist in Obstetrics/Gynecology and in Reproductive Endocrinology.

Dr. Taylor has been continuously funded as Principal Investigator by the NIH for over 30 years. He has conducted clinical and basic research on endometriosis, endometrial receptivity, stem cells, and endocrine disruption. He has published more than 500 articles in leading medical journals. Dr. Taylor serves on numerous editorial and review boards and is frequently invited as a speaker at national and international medical meetings. Dr. Taylor has received numerous awards, including American Society for Reproductive Medicine Outstanding Researcher Award, the IVI Foundation International Award for the Best Research in Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation Distinguished Scientist Award.

Dr. Taylor is past President of the Society for Reproductive Investigation and past President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2016.
