Dharani K. Hapangama graduated from the University of Edinburgh (BSc (Hons), MBChB, MD). She was an MRC Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FRCOG) at Cambridge, London, and Liverpool, UK. Dharani is currently a Professor of Gynaecology, at the University of Liverpool and a Consultant Gynaecologist at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. She leads a translational research group in Liverpool, focusing on normal regeneration of the human endometrium, in vitro modelling, and omics in the context of endometrial disease, including endometriosis. She is the Scientific Officer for the Special Interest Group “Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders” for European Society of Human Reproduction & Embryology, and Benign Gynaecology Lead for the Genomics Committee at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. UK. She has been a member of various national grant advisory boards, including the National Institute of Health Research and Wellbeing of Women charity. She has served in editorial roles at prominent journals, including Human Reproduction and Human Reproduction Open.
