
Paola Viganò is the IVF Lab Coordinator at Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan. She holds a Ph.D. in Prenatal Medicine from the University of Siena, and her research is dedicated primarily to women’s health and reproductive medicine. Over the course of her career, she has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, with approximately 5,000 citations. She has held editorial roles in the field of reproductive medicine. She was Associate Editor of Human Reproduction Update from 2011 to 2014 and Human Reproduction from 2015 to 2019. Currently, she is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders and Section Editor of Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology. From 2006 to 2009, she served as Deputy Coordinator of the ESHRE Special Interest Group in Endometrium and Endometriosis. She has been a Board member of the Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders (SEUD) and of the World Endometriosis Society (WES). She also served as co-President of the Italian Society of Human Reproduction (SIRU). Her achievements include winning the Grant for Fertility Innovation from Merck Serono in 2015, the ESHRE grant in 2016, and the Theramex BIRTH grant in 2019.
